Well, this is kind of weird for me, I don't really know what I'm doing, but here goes my first blog update. (I don't even know how to view other people's blogs, yet; well, I do know how to view my daughter's, but that's it.) I went to the craft store tonight to buy some yarn and supplies to knit something with. After poring over book after pattern book, I finally decided on an afghan. Unfortunately, the store didn't stock the right colors/textures of yarn. Bummer. I left with a "knitting wheel" that's supposed to enable you to make all kinds of neat and terribly useful knitted items. I'm going to attempt knitting something with my 7-year old son. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm determined to pick up some of my old hobbies and learn some new ones. Also determined to use my life primarily for connecting with human beings and not for dealing with things, like dirty houses or....THINGS! I think I would like to live in a tent with a mattress and a chair. And a toilet. And a bathtub.
When I came out of the craft store, there was a young man laying on the ground with paramedics all around him. He had just been hit by a car. He had his eyes open and looked pretty confused. It was dark and stormy. I walked very carefully to my car. I wonder how he's doing now.

Hi Janna! Like you I LOVE reading from Annie's blog (and living vicariously through her Ghana experiences!) I'll be checking you often! I knit too but haven't progressed past scarfs ( i did make a yoga bag though)

By the way, I Love JAne Eyre and saw the BEST version EVER. It's 2006 Masterpiece theater version. We watched it the other night (well two nights-it's four hours long) and it was excellent Rochester and Jane and their chemistry was right on!
